Take a Closer Look at the Los Angeles Dodgers’ MLB Championship Ring

Just last week, the Los Angeles Dodgers received their 2024 MLB championship rings. Months after their World Series victory, last Friday marked the team’s second ring ceremony in the past five years.

Team manager Dave Roberts said in a statement, “Just to kind of have the fans here to enjoy this with us. The players, to kind of close the book on 2024 and still staying focused on the baseball game tonight. There’s just a lot of excitement. Probably more than I can ever recall, with the Dodger fanbase. Our players feel that.” The ring, which was, designed by Jostens, featured a string of symbols that represented the franchise’s history. Eight diamonds can be seen on the face of the ring to represent each championship the Dodgers have won over the years. Engraving of the World Series trophy is superimposed over the Dodgers Stadium and 34 stones that encircle a piece from a base used in the World Series are to honor the late, great Fernando Valenzuela. Other details include the player’s number in diamonds as well as the year of the championship, the Dodgers’ team logo, MLB’s logo and palm trees that are synonymous with the city of LA.

The bottom of the band features five diamonds that represent the five-run comeback that allowed LA to clinch World Series Game 5 vs. the Yankees. The sunburst shape of the diamonds represent the sunny climate of LA, while the inside of the band shows off the post-season logos and final scores as well as each player’s unique signature.
